Wellness Activities and Taking a Break

Walk to the castle

From FEE you can walk in under half an hour to the Prague castle. The walk itself is mostly on the side of the road, but the view waiting for you at the end is definitely worth it. Not only you end up in front of the St. Vitus Cathedral, but you also get a nice view of Prague. The St. Vitus Cathedral is located within the Prague castle, which is one of the biggest complexes in the world.

Divoká Šárka

If you are feeling overwhelmed by the city and want to take a nice long walk in nature, we recommend you visit Divoká Šárka. From CTU you can take any tram from Dejvická station in the direction of Dědina. You can exit the tram at the station called Divoká Šárka. From there you can explore the natural reserve that is located within the city.

Stromovka

Stromovka is a park in Prague that is located just a 20 minute walk from UCT. It is a frequently visited place by runners, cyclists and dog walkers, but also families with children and sometimes even people on horses. In the summer it is a very popular picnic scene. It is ideal for wandering about or sitting down and reading a book on one of the many benches.

Letná

From UCT to Letná park you can either walk for aprox. 20 minutes or you can take a tram to station Letná, Sparta or Chotkovy sady. The Letná park is a very popular place for runners and inline skaters. In the summer, many people come here to play frisbee or for a picnic. If you decide to walk to the Prague Metronome you will be met with a view of Prague with the Vltava river underneath you. The place where now stands the Prague Metronome was historically occupied by a statue of Stalin and is to this day called Stalin by many Prague residents.
